Rocks, low tide and golden light at the south end: how to plan a couple shoot, and where to stay with your photographer.
Saint Martin's Island is a favourite for couple and pre-wedding photos: rocks, coconut trees and a wide sky. The south end near Chera Dip is quieter than the jetty side, so it's easier to shoot without a crowd behind you.
Plan around the light and the tide
- Golden hour: early morning and the last hour before sunset give the softest light.
- Low tide: the rocks and pools near Chera Dip are best when the sea is out. Check the tide times for your day.
- Midweek: fewer people on the beach in your frames.

Shooting at El Marena
Our house rules allow commercial photography and filming, so you can also shoot around the resort: the duplex balcony and hammock, the wooden cottages among the trees, and the lights at night. Tell us your plan on WhatsApp when you book.
A duplex sleeps up to 4, so there's room for the couple and a photographer or friend. Breakfast is included with the duplex.
- Duplex cottage, up to 4: ৳4,000 Sunday to Thursday, ৳6,000 Friday and Saturday.
- Single cottage, up to 2: ৳2,000 Sunday to Thursday, ৳3,000 Friday and Saturday.
- Tent for 2: ৳1,000 Sunday to Thursday, ৳1,500 Friday and Saturday.
