Taking your team to Saint Martin's? How to plan the ship, rooms, meals and the evening for a group, and how to book a whole resort.
An office trip to Saint Martin's Island takes more planning than a family weekend: more ship seats, more rooms and more meals at the same time. Here's how to plan it, from the team at El Marena Eco Resort near Chera Dip, where a group can have the whole resort.
The island opens only in the season the government sets, and last season (2025–26) no more than 2,000 people a day could visit. The 2026–27 rules weren't out when we wrote this (October 2026), so book early once they are.
How many can come
El Marena has 18 units: 6 duplex cottages (up to 4 guests each), 6 single cottages (2 each) and 6 tents (2 each), so up to 48 guests in all. For a team of that size you can book the whole resort and have it to yourselves.

Ship tickets for a group
- Book all the seats together, on one ship, as soon as the season's sale opens.
- Collect each person's name and ID details early: last season every ticket carried a travel pass.
- Pick one person to hold the tickets and the list on the day.
- We can help book ship tickets as a paid extra.
Meals and evenings
- Restaurant: breakfast, lunch and dinner for the whole group (paid extra; breakfast is free with the duplex cottages). Tell us the numbers and any food needs in advance.
- Barbecue: our BBQ spot is a paid extra, good for a team evening at the resort.
- Events are allowed at El Marena, within our quiet hours of 11 pm to 7 am.
Things to do as a team
- A football match on the resort's ground.
- A morning walk to Chera Dip at low tide.
- Sunset from the lookouts on top of the duplex cottages.
