How to split the rooms, the ship seats and the food so a group trip stays cheap, and the island rules every group should know before they go.
Saint Martin's is a classic trip with friends, and a group can make it cheaper for everyone if you split things the right way. Here's how we'd plan it.
Split the rooms the smart way
Our prices are for the whole cottage or tent, not per person, so the more of you share, the less each of you pays.
- Four friends: one duplex cottage, ৳4,000–৳6,000, from ৳1,000 each when four share. A double bed downstairs, a sleeping loft upstairs, an attached bathroom, a balcony and a complimentary breakfast.
- Two friends: a single cottage for 2 (৳2,000–৳3,000) or a tent for 2 (৳1,000–৳1,500), both with a common bathroom.
- A bigger group: a mix of cottages and tents. We have 6 duplex cottages, 6 single cottages and 6 tents near the beach.
Come Sunday to Thursday: it's half our regular price. Friday and Saturday are 25% off, and the duplexes are the first to go at weekends.
Book the ship seats together
Last season every ticket came with a QR-code travel pass and no more than 2,000 people could visit a day, so popular dates sold out early. Book the whole group's seats at once. Return fares started from ৳3,500 per person for deck and economy seats. Food for a group
- A barbecue night: use our barbecue spot; you pay only for the fish, lobster or chicken.
- Restaurant meals: at our open-air seafood restaurant, paid separately.
- Self-cooking: buy fresh fish at the market and cook it yourselves; ask us about it when you book.
- Breakfast: complimentary with a duplex cottage.
Things to do together
- Walk to Chera Dip at low tide, early in the morning.
- A game on the resort's football ground.
- The sunset over the rocks, and the stars at night.
- A boat to Chera Dip from the main jetty, if the tide doesn't suit you.
Rules every group should know
- No lights, loud music or barbecue parties on the beach at night (the 2025–26 rules).
- No polythene bags. Bring refillable bottles and take your rubbish back with you.
- Don't harm or collect coral, turtles, birds, crabs, starfish or seaweed.
- At El Marena, quiet hours are from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.

A rough budget
For four friends sharing a duplex cottage on a Sunday to Thursday night, the cottage comes to ৳1,000 each.
