Yes, from 1 November 2026 to 15 March 2027. Here's what the government decided, and what isn't settled yet.

Short answer: Saint Martin's Island opens to tourists on 1 November 2026 and stays open until 15 March 2027. The government set the dates in October. Here is what that means for your trip, as of 28 October 2026, from the team at El Marena Eco Resort near Chera Dip.

The rules for Saint Martin's change every season, and sometimes during it. Check the latest news before you buy your ship ticket, or ask us on WhatsApp.

The 2026–27 season rules

  • Dates: 1 November 2026 to 15 March 2027, about four and a half months (Ministry of Environment letter of 25 October 2026, reported by Ajker Patrika and Bangla Tribune).
  • Ships: only approved tourist ships, and only from Nuniarchhara jetty in Cox's Bazar town (Prothom Alo).
  • Visitors: on average no more than 3,500 tourists a day, up from 2,000 last season (Ajker Patrika, Shomoyer Alo).
  • Fee: every tourist pays a Tk 100 environmental conservation fee (Ajker Patrika).
  • Earlier conditions still apply: ship tickets online with a QR code, no lights on the beach at night and no plastic (Prothom Alo, 27 October).

Can you stay the night in November?

Not settled yet. The ministry's letter doesn't mention night stays. A ministry official told reporters the island will be open the whole time, but that night stays aren't being mentioned separately (Ajker Patrika, 26 October). On 27 October the Cox's Bazar deputy commissioner said no new instruction on night stays had come and that a meeting would decide (Prothom Alo). Last season, November was day trips only, and night stays were allowed in December and January.

Until it's confirmed, plan a November visit as a day trip, or message us before you book and we'll tell you the latest.
