A cottage is a small house of your own, and on Saint Martin's it means a quieter night than a room in a busy building. At El Marena Eco Resort near Chera Dip we have two kinds: the duplex cottage and the single cottage. This guide puts them side by side so you can pick the right one before you message us.
The two cottages side by side

The duplex cottage
A two-storey wooden cottage on stilts. Downstairs there's a double bed; a wooden ladder leads up to a sleeping loft. It has an attached bathroom with a shower and washbasin, a balcony with a personal hammock, and a lookout tower on top for sunsets and stars. A complimentary breakfast is included.
Shared by four, it comes to ৳1,000 each. Duplexes are the first to go on weekends and holidays, so book early. More on the duplex cottage page.
The single cottage
A simple one-room cottage for up to two, among the trees near Chera Dip beach. Inside there's a double bed, a wardrobe, a fan and a chair, and a window with curtains. Guests use a common bathroom with running water and showers.
At ৳2,000–৳3,000 for the whole cottage, from ৳1,000 each for two, it's the most affordable cottage at El Marena. More on the single cottage page.
What both cottages include
- A complimentary drink and free mineral water
- 24-hour room service
- Use of the barbecue spot (you pay only for the food), the football ground and the children's playground
- Check-in from 1:00 pm and check-out by 12:00 pm (noon)
Which one suits you?
- A couple who want their own bathroom and a balcony: duplex.
- A couple on a budget: single cottage.
- A family of four: duplex, and keep an eye on little ones on the loft ladder.
- Four friends: one duplex shared four ways, or two single cottages if you'd rather have two rooms.
- A bigger group: a mix of cottages, or add tents.
Prices by day
Both cottages follow the same rule: Sunday to Thursday is half our regular price, and Friday and Saturday 25% off. The lower number in each price above is the Sunday to Thursday price. Our article on Saint Martin resort prices explains how to compare prices fairly.
